How do I be anonymous in real life?
To become anonymous and have no trail to you in real life can be difficult but is possible. The most important thing is to never have anything linked to your name or information.
* Always pay cash. It leaves virtually no trail. Never open any credit cards. Every transaction you make will leave a paper trail to you and the merchandise you purchased. If you have them, destroy them now.
* Always paper shred anything relating to you. Don’t leave your trash sitting around. Leaving any evidence behind will make you vulnerable to people and the government. This includes throwing away receipts.
* When going places, avoid making stops. Fill your gas tank completely before you leave to your destination. Gas stations and pumps have cameras which can leave evidence that you were in a certain location at a time. It is even a good idea to carry some extra gallons of gas in your trunk if you must fill up half way through your trip. Although you may not have a credit card, you might need to get a small amount of money out of your bank account. Don’t use ATMs when away from home as it will tell in the transaction logs where you picked up the money.
* Never get a cell phone plan. Use prepaid services and throw-away phones. In general, it is a good idea to get a new phone and number every month. In addition to a prepaid phone service, use another service on top of that such as PhoneGangster, a caller id spoofing service so nobody will have your prepaid cell phone number. With your prepaid phone, only have it on when you need to use it. Once you are done calling, take out of the battery and only put it back in when you are needing to make a call again. By leaving your phone on all the time, gives signals to cell phone towers and they log where your location is. Someone could find you in no time and pin point your exact location within feet.
* Get an untraceable address. Use a mail drop for your mail. Unfortunately, most mail drop services in the United States require Form 1583 which a document the USPS (United States Postal Service) requires to be on file. With this document, you must have your name, scanned drivers licence or identification card, and other traceable information. Fortunately, there are ways around this, such as using an offshore mail drop in another country. One example is Panama, their site is http://www.panamail.net/ and is about $250 to set up. Additionally, you could ask a friend to use their PO BOX or mail address if you do not wish to go this route.
* Avoid going to the doctor and hospital. Your medical records contain information about you. Stay healthy, take your vitamins and be cautious in life. If you must go-to the doctor, pay cash and go-to an anonymous clinic — the kind people get tested for STDs and other things. Remember, being sick is just a mind-state, you can fight it.
* Move frequently. By constantly moving homes or apartments, you will be playing a cat and mouse game with your spyers and stalkers.
* Use a small safe deposit box at a bank. It is a good idea to use a bank that is at least 20 to 100 miles away from your house. The further away, the better. In this box you can store items such as important documents that may contain your name and information such as your Social Security Card and Birth Certificate. Never leave these things sitting around your house! There is no law on storing a wad of emergency cash in this security box if things go haywire. Just never let the bank know what you are putting in there — usually they will give you private space in the vault with no one around you. Remember, safes at home are typically targets. If you have a safe at home, use it as a decoy and employ bogus information about you in there.
* Avoid cameras at stores, ATMs, and other locations. Don’t ever look directly into them, however, don’t be suspicious either.
* Don’t file a tax return if you don’t have to. If you are not making any money in a year, there is no reason to file a tax return.
* If you must order things online, be anonymous. Our article on how to pay anonymous online will help you in achieving this. Otherwise, always pay cash in person.
* Avoid freebies. Remember, one of the 48 laws of power is:
Despise the Free Lunch
“What is offered for free is dangerous – it usually involves either a trick or a hidden obligation. What has worth is worth paying for. By paying your own way you stay clear of gratitude, guilt, and deceit. It is also often wise to pay the full price – there is no cutting corners with excellence. Be lavish with your money and keep it circulating, for generosity is a sign and a magnet for power”
This can relate to almost everything free. Example, those free calling cards you get in the mail are a trap. Don’t use them. They often have phone logs and perhaps the person is just waiting to see who you are calling. Don’t sign up for any free offers with your name or real E-mail address as your information will be traded and passed along to dozens others.
* Even when ordering food, go pick it up. Never get delivery. This might sound ridiculous but your information is saved and stored. Creating accounts on Papa Johns and Pizza Hut with your information is a big no. You are better off calling them and getting carry out with a fake name.
* Always switch up your daily routines. Don’t be on a set schedule. You need to confuse your spyers, enemies, and investigators.
* Always be on high alert. If you notice anyone following you or anything out of the ordinary, its time for new everything. Change your looks with a haircut, get a mustache or remove it, dye your hair color, move locations, throw away with your phone, and start fresh.
